So it turns out my Dunlops and the snow don't go well together. I was meant to fit my original alloys on friday but never got round to it. Drove to work on saturday fine, there is a right hander as you come into the car park at work and then an island in the middle. Dabbed the brakes to avoid the island and she kept on going.

There is a bin near the edge of the island so I was nearly on full lock to avoid it and so the wheel hit the kerb side on with the car sliding forward. No bodywork damage, the rim has a fair bit of paint missing in that area but it's only slightly buckled which I was surprised at but it has pushed or bent the suspension back so the wheel is up against the arch.

Managed to limp the car home and is sat gathering snow waiting for the garage to bring a flat bed along.

Sorry for the phone pic.

Any rough estimates on the cost to fix this??

Cheers.

I would say it probably needs a lower arm and the tracking doing? And a check that more components arent bent/damaged. No idea on cost though

eek unlucky mate :( more than likely lower arm , roll bar , maybe hub, strut, track rod + end and drive shaft subframe depends if your lucky or not ! if it needs the lot , id get on parts section as not cheap for everything !! without seeing under its hard to guess what's bent and what's not !

But id almost definitely say lower arm and roll bar !

- 2 degrees camber and toyo tr1 here... feel your pain. So far I have been lucky.

Bottom arm certainly, subframe maybe, hub possible but probably ok, ARB very unlikely to be damaged as its quite springy anyway.

Ok so my garage managed to come out this morning and recover the car (street is still like an ice rink).

After an inspection they have said it's just the lower arm and the track rod that have bent and the subframe looks ok (it wasn't a very fast impact to be fair). Haven't been given a full price yet as they want to fit the parts in the morning and test drive it to make sure that's all it needs.
