Network Adaptop Problem

Hi guys

I have an acer laptop and several months ago the network card decided to stop working.
The card is an Intel Pro Wireless 3945ABG.

I uninstalled the driver but when i try to reinstall it i get the error message
'unable to open the driver specific registry key for this device'

Ive searched the internet but cant find anything that works.

Stupid thing wouldnt even let me make a recovery disk when i first got the laptop so i am unable to recover it.
Also it will not roll back to restore points, dont know why..
