Last saturday was a cracking day. So i finally got all the Audio in with a help of a family friend (he also happens to be very good with ICE).
The job he did was brilliant, every wire is hidden away and hes tuned the sound just right.

Anyway, here is the Amp/Sub package (Vibe Slick Pack @ £149.99)

The headunit, (Alpine 103BT @ £189.99)

The front 13cm Speakers (JL Audio TR525-SCi @ £79.99)

(btw, in the process of writing this post, i nearly smashed up the shitebox that is the BT Homehub. Who the f**k makes a router that crashes everytime you try to upload more than one picture anyway?)

No, that would require about £115 worth of adapters, and considering the radio is right by the gearstick i figured i could use my left hand to control it

The speakers are brilliant! They required some cutting, as the magnet on them is bigger than standard. They offer much better bass, and with some tuning really improve the midrange. We sat there tuning them to perfection for about half an hour and im so pleased with how it all sounds.

I have to say stripping out the interior and cutting it was a bit heart breaking on a brand new car but you cant tell i have. It's all tidy

What have you cut? Speaker grills?

No, have you taken the speakers out on yours yet? Basically the grille comes off easy, but if you take the standard speakers out they are surrounded by plastic so only they can fit in there. I just cut away this plastic that is behind the speakers to accommodate the new speakers

About a year ago parents split up, and my dad bought out my mums half of the house. She spent a lot of it on this car tbh.

And the Amp is about 400w RMS so yes nice power its kicking out

Hi mate, I like your car- good colour choice. On the head unit you seem to have got a surround or fill panel. Were did you buy this from ?

I got it from HERE. Its the same as the Megane one.

Get a bungee cord to secure it! There is a hook inside the boot (nearest to the passenger tail light), bungee cord is clipped round that and where the rear bench clips in if you push the seats down. Stops the sub sliding about! Hope it made sense lol.

Hi, i have just ordered a new GT for delivery next month, i plan on fitting a Becker Grand Prix HU and am just sorting out wiring, the aerial connection is the only potential problem, did you use a powered fakra adaptor?

One more question, when fitting an aftermarket headunit and not using a stalk adaptor does the dash to display show any info. e.g clock etc.. Or is it permenantly blank?

The dash displays only the clock, and the remote controls at the wheel don't work if you don't use the CAN-BUS. And yes, the 2009 Clio uses a FAKRA thingy.

You should really capture the whole car when doing shots like the bottom one btw Take a step back away from it lol.

Yeh, thats the reason i went for high end mid range speakers. The bass isnt overpowering for the front speakers. It all sounds great together.

As said, these learners with GT's! bet insurance is a bi atch. Nice lil set up you have there only chnaged the HU in mine cba to do anything else though think I fitted the megane suround thingy wrong since its an odd fit but meh.
Will be great once you pass anyway!
