new clutch cable

picked up me new clutch cable this week, have renault changed the design of the cable as it looks different from the one in my 172 mk2 sport, theres weights on it.

no idea but you might want to check it against the one you take off your car and remove bits that shouldn't be there.

Can't see a reason for weights?

Yes they changed the design at some point. Changed the cable on both my old 51 plate 1.2 and my current 03 plate 1.6 and the new cable has been different to both of the originals.

Changed mine a few weeks ago. Renault have changed the design. I'm sure the weights are there to dampen any vibration through the cable.
