new components sound sweet...

ordered some INFINITY Kappa 50.7cs from ebay the other day, spent a good few hours 2day fitting them, had to take dash off and find a home for the crossovers, the sound they make is awsome, so loud and clear, they are powered by my 4 channel jbl amp, powering the rear infinitys as well. I used to have some crappy pioneer speakers up front, but didnt want comps because of the job involved, glad i finally changed them now.

I got them from here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=9731044415&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWN:IT&rd=1 bloke has quite a few left and on almost all sites i checked they are around 150 quid, this is a bargin.

btw should a wear them in slowly? Or can a whack it up full straught away?

I think it's only subs you have to 'break in'.

i was considering getting those, whats the tweeter like as i really cant stand 'bright' tweeters

ive been looking at getting these 2. from what ive heard the tweeters have 2 options, full and -3db. apparently they are painfull unless you -3db. but cant say for deffinate as ive never heard a pair.

hey, the tweeters are fine, they in normal position and dont sound that bad at all, think i left them on the original setting -0db. I have adjusted the treble on the hu and im realy liking the sound.

Down I'd imagine. I think people say Infinity tweeters can be a bit bright.

Ideally BRUN you're looking for comps with a good reputation + silk dome tweeters as they apparently help calm down any brightness.

turned it down, bare in mind my headunits a little bit old now, so looking at replacement, its a sony flipdown, bout 3 years old now. So hasnt got the best settings for adjusting sound.
