Mine still looks the same.

Can you not right click on the picture, select Properties and copy the address?

right click properties then copy the URL in the 'all sizes' page

Cant do that, its some sort of flash type system instead now.

Will be changing so you cant use the old version eventually.

So far the only way i can seem to find the link is to grab the html code and the link is in that, but it is a right pain and a lot of effort.

They should have pre-coded lines to copy over like pb do.

Edit: Actually it seems i'm an idiot, if you go view all sizes, then you can still right click on the image for the address. Still think they should give pre-written code for forum use since that what a lot of members use flickr for.

I think they're trying to make it a little more difficult now to try and deter people from doing it. It's in the guidelines that hotlinking must link back to original flickr photo page, which I'd imagine 95% don't.

If any of you use Chrome, get Fittr Flickr, it adds exif data and the all sizes link to your page. So you just click on the T S M L O and it'll give you the image to copy the URL.

Are flickr stopping people using the site as a host for forums?

Pictures in this thread which were visible yesterday are no longer

http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=520747

For one of the pictures the old URL was

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4077/4760674588_6a507ae1b0_b.jpg

Which has now changed to

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4077/4760674588_7832f553e2_b.jpg

Thats in less than 24 hours!

Is their a way to use their HTML code to display pics on forums, since they supply this code i presume it wouldn't change?

Although looking at the HTML code below, it has the new url in it, so why has it changed since? As surely yesterday it contained the old URL?

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/mjenic/4760674588/" title="IMG_3212 by mjenic, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4077/4760674588_7832f553e2.jpg" width="500" height="333" alt="IMG_3212"></a>

Flickr isn't really for hosting images. It's more of a gallery.

You might find it annoying, but it's far more annoying having your images stolen and plastered all over the web and it not linking back to you.

yeah, i understand that why they want to stop people using it like its used at the moment.

It was/is supposed to be a community but they do give the HTML code to display the pictures externally.

Do your know if its possible to use that on the forum? That way it would link back to flickr and everyone would be happy :D

Or is this something that could be implemented on the new forum?

Yeah, at least if it's done via HTML and you click the image it takes you back to their photostream..

We don't allow HTML for various reasons I'm afraid. I don't see that changing..
