New H&R Product Development

As one of the product managers for H&R UK, and a new Clio 182 owner, I'm looking for some feedback and gauging interest in the development of some new products for the Clio B.

- new lowering spring kit which will offer an increased lowering amount over our 29481-1 (30mm) kit
- development of a full or rear only adjustable anti-roll bar kit

Comments welcome.

All exist already by other manufacturers, but no reason these shouldn't do well.

Look at Eibach Sportlines as the staple Clio 1*2 spring and the Whiteline adjustable Rear ARB...

The rear ARB especially as the Whiteline was out of stock for a while (not sure if still hard to get hold of) due to them being so popular so there is a market there for them. I had one on my 172 and really rated it

No front adjustable anti-roll bar exists so this would be welcome.

As Budgie has stated there are already competitors in the market for the springs and rear roll bar. Eibach Sportline, Cooksport and Apex so I would see how to fit in with those. And the only rear anti-roll bar available is the Whiteline product.

Chaz,

Would you be interested in further development of the Megane II RS (225, r26, r26.r) products?

You currently have a coilover kit that was designed on the early PH-1 225 with lower spring and dampner rates, which is a front coilover but separate rear spring and dampner.

Currently the only companies to offer a 'full' coilover system for the Megane is AST and BC racing, which are both extreme ends of the market.

Kieran

I should of been clearly in my opening post. Would like some feedback on the development of new H&R products for the Clio B. Well aware that our competitors have products on the market but seems we are missing a trick.

Kieran - this is something I can look into for sure.

If you guys could design an adjustable front ARB for the Clio B that would certainly be a good one... Also, the Whiteline rear ARB design could be easily improved.

With regards to the Megane, send me a PM if you would like to discuss further. I am one of the Moderators on the RSMegane forum.

I'd also be keen on testing something.

I've had more RS' than I can remember with just about every kind of handling mod, so would be interested to see the differences.

Also, Nick172Cup

I'm sure we could help with a back to back comparison of two cars that have the new parts and don't.

Front and rear ARB for Clio 2 would be a great idea. The whiteline rear ARB isn’t great so something that actually adjusts would be welcome and some form of improved front ARB be it adjustable or not would be very welcome I would happily sign up for one now so get it sorted ASAP please ;)

Would more than happy to help testing your products, having had 8 Mk2 RenaultSport Clios and potentially getting another pair this weekend I'd like to think I'd be able to give good honest advice. I can even to do comparisons between the Clios I have! Ha.

I second this, there is a gaping hole in the market for a decent priced coilover system for the megs!

Front ARB sound is sounding popular, and I've put this forward to our development team.

For those that have requested to test, I'm more than grateful for your responses, but will have to politely decline as we have a dedicated testing facility at HQ in Germany.

DJC just so you know a lot of the guys in this thread and on the forum are experienced drivers. If you have a look in the track section you'll see the names pop up.

Just so you know it's not young lads doing McDonald's car park laps.

I wouldn't of entertained posting this if there wasn't some serious track enthusiasts on here :)

First you're asking for people's feedback on your items then saying you have your testing facility in Germany.. I don't get what you want out of people on here

They want to know what to make....They dont need people to test s**t.

I wouldn't have put it quite as blunt but I would like to grasp whether there is a demand for an expansion in product range.

I've set the ball rolling today for a new spring kit and a how feasible a complete arb kit will be to manufacture.

I'll test the springs on a Trophy ;) I've been after going a bit lower...

If you did manufacture them though they would have to be at the right price. Someone already mentioned Cooksport which are pretty cheap but I'm not a fan of the way the car sits on them.

In which way? Too low or not low enough?
