Dudes,

Is there a way to copy (exactly) the contents of one drive to another?

I want to install a new 200gb 2.5 drive into my macbook.

image it? try using acronis, alteris, norton ghost, that sort of product... or just shadow copy the lot and restore it with windows restore etc

Not sure with a Mac Tom.

I've mirrored a HDD putting both of them into a PC before. That was easy enough.

Well i have an xp partition i want to keep intact.

Ideally i want to preserve both partitions on the old drive and copy them directly to the new one. Insert the drive and boot like nothing happened.

Possible?

Humn. I suspect something like "carbon copy cloner" or "super duper" will be able to do that, but I've got no experience with that so don't really know.
