Hi from a new member. I’m looking for a 172 cup as a fun car. Have had various other cars over the years but have realised that a light, responsive car without breaking the bank is where the fun is for me. Cheers. Will

Thanks Chris. I've started having agood look around and doing a lot of reading to get a feel for the cars. I like to do alot of spannering myself, but so far mostly on cars at least 30 yrs older than a 172 cup, so mucking about with sensors and ecu s,etc is totally new to me! A car that you can plug into a computer and it tells you whats wrong with it seems like black magic! crikey, how did i get this old? When did it happen!!!
Nice to be here though!
Cheers

Cups are simple mate. If it's running rough, it's either injector, plug or lambda sensor.

Sounds simple!!:) Really keen to get my hands on a car now. Doesnt have to be pretty, just mechanically sound with as little rust as possible! cheers. Will

Just a nice road car for me. I think I got my trackday stuff out of my system a few years ago to be honest. Ferrying kids about seems to mean I have no time to do that sort of thing nowadays anyway! I've lots of time for spannering,etc and to be honest, I find that I enjoy that nowadays as much as hooing about on a track. I need the four seats and no cage,etc. so I can fit kids in it but can still take it out early weekend morning for a nice drive when its quiet.
If I put the rear seats,etc back in then something like this car would be ideal;
