Finally I found what I was looking for at this forum. I have been looking on clioclub.co.uk and its terrible, this is where its at.

I got my first car (clio 1.5 dci expression 53 plate, 20k miles) back in october for my birthday and I think its amazing. In the book it says it is the 65bhp version but the sheets that we got from the auction said it had 80bhp. My brother is a mechanic and he has serviced the car since and found what looks like to be a turbo sitting just next to the engine, he said he cant think of anything else it could be, also there is a nice 6 cd disc changer made by renault sitting under the passenger seat. So it looks like the previous owner has had renault do some extras on it before he has bought it. Excellent!

Anyway just thought I would get involved with you all because you have some awesome clio's, I will get some pictures up of mine asap. I recently got the spoiler from the dynamique, I need some foglights and was thinking about upgrading again to that v6 spoiler, they look great. The last thing and the biggest thing is alloys!! I have a budget of about 450, and I dont know whether to get 16s or 17s any help or suggestions?

The clio is black by the way!!

Regarding alloys matey,save a bit more for turinis or speedlines and youll not go far wrong!

Yeah I think I'm going to when I can afford it, I'll have to then get it lowered as well still at school, well sixth form, so money is tight!

dont worry mate for some of us on here doing up our clios is a progression,something to look forward too,thats what its all about-looking forward to the day when somethings gonna get done to make our motor to make it look different from others!

Takes time...took me a year to mod my mk1 and still it was only 50% done... Got written off by a taxi so now ive had to start all over again...

....im student aswell so know how hard it is to get stuff done on the car,

ALl the 1.5 dci have turbos the easy way to check is to either see if you have an intercooler or check the model code if its CBO7 or BB07 (for the 5 door) on the drivers door sticker then its the 65. If its CB08 or BB08 (for the 5 door) then its the 80.

Stick with 15's IMo cheaper tyres and better ride even the race cars use them.

haha edde the guru, yeah I checked the model number and it has BB07, thanks for the info. I was also thinking about getting some of the 182 alloys, damn missed that set on ebay that were like £350 buy now, I couldnt make my mind up.

and @chris, taxi, that must of been awful, silly taxi drivers they are everywhere these days in there banged up hatchbacks.

Getting it tinted in the next few weeks hopefully. Will get it lowered eventually but I was thinking about getting a exhaust system first. (when I have the money)

Lowering is a must, and IMO 16's look big enough on the lil CLio,
