new pads

hya can anyone help me ive just put some mintex 1144 pads in my 172 and the brakes are squeeking like hell can anyone help?

copper grease on the brake shoes should sort it straight away if not the k tec racing kevlar pads are great. they were £30 and ill def be replacing them with the same.

Just to clarify the point above - put the copper grease on the BACK of the pads - the bit that the brake piston pushes against. This might stop them squealing.

strange noises often happen when you dont tighten the wheel properly!!!
