New Platform for Clio

Ive just been researching the new new Clio due out in the near future, and as far as i can tell Renault are going to use the Nissan Micra Platform / Chassis. Presumably this is an effort to save part costs, as done extensively by VW / Audi / Scoda. Anyone know if this is true?

No Nissan are using the Renault platform.

But yes the new Almera will use the Megane platform. and the Clio will use the Micra platform (vice versa)

Nissan engines are already in use by Renault.

Hopefully they will use the Micras 1.216v engine in the new Clio its a superb unit.
