Well it wouldnt be hard to improve on the old site..

But for the new site you should add padding to the content divs. And when you click on the search our site button you should have a bit of javascript to clear the input box when clicked.

I really like it.

I think it is really nice.

Well done.

Are you using a cms?

Did you do that all your self or used a template and amended it to your needs.

Really like the logo, and how it is reflective, you have taken an original design, changed it, and made it look really professional.

You should be giving yourself a pat on the back.

Well done.

Thanks mate,

Na no template just designed it from scratch in Dreamweaver.

I re-did the logo as only had a crappy one as seen in the old design. Used photoshop for that.

The only thing i didnt do from scratch is the vertical css menu on the left hand side, I got them from dynamic drive and just customised it to suit the company's identity.

what's cms?

looking good mate, you are getting better at it! :D

cms is content management system, where the site can be updated from a backend screen or similar

Looks nice, on the rollover for Home it makes the rounded edge go Sqaure.

And also the search thing as mentioned would be better

yer the great thing of a CMS is that you can give the client a logon and restricting them to allow them with certain things. So they could add new pages, new text, but cannot change the menu and so on.

Take a look at www.joomla.org

I find photoshop hard to use, fireworks is much easier, but all depends on who is using it and what the needs are.

The menu is nice.

Well done once again.

Cheers Craig, i just a had a good teacher thats all!

Dave - i know about that corner, suppose i could just duplicate rollover div and give it an independant one with its own rollover background..

gabi - I dont think CMS would be needed on this website, its purely just a catalogue to publish our a new brand of products we have taken over. Its not updated that often.

I have started using Fireworks alot more now. i did the logo and header in photoshop but the menu backgrounds and the left column background and the blue heading box's were done in fireworks as it already has a diagonal pattern preset.

Im going to present it in the sales meeting nxt frieday, i am aware of changes that need altering already but they are purely content not design issues.

thanks for the input peeps :)
