New windscreen

Since taking ownership of the car in around May 2007, my windscreen has had the arc scratches caused by the windscreen wipers. Since then, the windscreen has taken a few knocks, chips, etc... and while some have been repaired, I'm thinking of having a new screen fitted. So... I'll be going through my insurance and paying the small excess to have a new one fitted.

Have other people done the same assuming it's a common thing on the Clio's? Or is it ONLY common if the person doesn't replace the wiper blades when they should?

dont think its common problemo tbh it depends how many stone chips you get and how unlucky you are...

I find putting a brick through your window will see you getting a new windscreen pretty quickly.

Doesnt get you new seats and doorcards from where the brick bounces round the cabin.;)

I had a new 08 Megane 1.6 as a company car, had less than hundred miles on clock and F/Passenger window got done, ripped drivers seat, smashed hole in door card and ripped hole in roof liner, f**king b*****ds.
just give it a crack with the hammer and pay autoglass £50 to do it thru insurance.
