Our 7th trip to New York in the past 10 years, had a big list of different things to see/do this time which we mostly covered. Took my D600, 28mm 1.8 and 180mm 2.8, really nice and relatively light combo.

Stunning shots, I imagine winter time in New York would be something else - would make me feel like a kid at christmas again. Magical.

Lovely photos, the D600’s images look great coupled with those lenses.

I also like how you’ve got some abstract views in there, the one of the empire state building reflection in the lens of the binoculars is an exemplar of that point

The aeroplane photo past the Statue of liberty is such a powerful photo of what NY has been through with 9/11.

Oddly my Dad mentioned this as soon as he saw it, it never crossed my mind to be honest. The helicopters flying very very low over Manhattan during the marathon felt strange though, usually it's pretty much a complete no fly zone.
