Hi all!

The clio 182's have always interested me but I've always been more of a VAG person. With my wedding approaching I sold my Seat leon Cupra R and with the remaining money treated myself to my first clio a 2004 182 Cup Full Pack! A lot different to my Leon but it's really fun to drive and the handling is awesome!! Looking forward to getting it out on a track or a good road in the summer and experiencing the handling and track potential that I have always been told about on these cars? I will miss boost but I'm looking forward to doing some mods to the 182 and making it mine.

It's all standard apart from the alloys and coilovers. Would like abit more go in it so what mods would you all recommend?

I have noticed that in the low revs if I blip the throttle I can hear a kind of whistling sound coming from the engine? Hard to explain the sound so will try and record it soon! Also do tall people find that if you move your seat far enough for leg room you almost feel like you're stretching for the top of 1st lol?

The car come with a Clio sport folder so I'm guessing it's an ex members? Cheers all

Firstly there's no such thing as a cup full fat, it's just a full fat (full fat meaning it has the cup packs installed)

The 182 engines are pretty hard to get power from without going forced induction, but if it hasn't had it done already an RSTuner map improves the driveability no end. Most 'decent' power mods (such as cams, RS2 inlet etc) are £1k each, so not too attractive.

A few people find the gearstick a bit far away, IIRC Pure Motorsport do a shorter linkage which tilts the stick back towards the driver a bit.

Oh and by the way your local specialist is Dan@SJM, top bloke. Does mapping too actually.

Thanks for the info Gherkin as you can tell I'm new to this whole clio thing! Will definitely come say hello at the meet once the weather gets better. Do we have a thread on here for that meet? This is my first n/a that I'm going to try and tinker with. What's the matched inlets gain as I have read this a few times? Plans are just to stiffen it up on some good tyres and maybe an induction kit and full system to sound then get it running how I want it for Combe this year.
