I'm a massive RS fan, that looks a nice 90's spec you've got. Price wise (I saw what it was) you can probs get more.
How many miles it on ? What's it had done to it ?
cheers to be honest i think its worth more but i will more than likely do a deal against another car rather than sell it outright. The current spec is:
ENGINE: 1.8zvh hybrid (1.6cvh head, 1.8 zetec bottom end), 0.5mm oversized pistons bringing overall bore of the engine to 1.9 litres, fully balanced crank, stage 3 head, newman cam with solid lifters, piper vernier pulley, collins chip, stage 2 hybrid t3 turbo with 360 bearing, GRS intercooler with kenlow fan, copper cored radiator, scorpion exhaust, k+n air filter, baileys dump valve header tank, samco hoses
TRANSMISSION: AP CP2000-8 clutch, standard rs turbo lsd gearbox
BRAKES: front - 283mm cosworth discs, standard calipers. rear - 2wd cosworth calipers and discs, braided hoses, rs 2000 handbrake cable.
SUSPENSION: adjustable koni shocks with avo 25mm lowering springs.
The last rolling road figure for this car was 198bhp and 213ibft at jamsport but after the runs the owner at the time was told that basically the cam was knackered so i have now changed it from the old phase 2 newman to a phase 4 race item. Me and my father have also developed a twin swirl pot/ oil seperator system to aid the cars breathing since this figure was attained. This figure was only at 7psi to and my usual level is around the 14psi mark. It will be going to be setup within the next few weeks were i hope to make 230bhp or there abouts.
as you can see from some of the pics (lack of carpets and interior) i have been over it with a fine tooth combe this winter to ensure it is in as good condition as possible.
The shell itself has done 120k from new (service stamp/ mot verified) which for a near enough 20 year old car is good going
