just out of interest what is the insurance gap between the

172/Cup

and...

The 1999 Import Honda Civic Type Rs (the old shape)

Just curious, as im very interested in both as my next motor - insurance will play a key part though.

Import will cost more to insure at a guess, as they never made a UK version.

i looked at these too, on paper they are great cars, 0-60 in just 5.7 secs 190ish bhp, all from a 1.6! but in reality they just arnt suited to either the road in general or especially british roads unfortunately, they are extremely stiff rides,

also i did try for quotes on both of the cars above, well..a normal 172 and the civic type r (with tescos) strangely..the civic was cheaper
