Nick’s 17’s

  BMW 320d Sport

Well I dont know about those ones I tried on for size - they were a bit rotten I thought. But Im still well up for getting those black Wolfrace Octanes, the 18" version looked mental in my wheelarch. Ill go for the 7x17s I think, but the other option is to go for 7.5x16 Momo Racers which will go on perfect with no scrub at all. I can get them for roughly the same price and Momo is quality.

So the answer is...Im still deciding. Itll help my decision if someone takes my Phase 1s off me.

  FOR SALE - Mk1 V6

nick, your confusing!
read earlier about 19s. now are you saying that your thinking about selling the car ???

Go for the quality Momo 16s. Thats the size Ive got on mine with a mild 30mm drop at the front on springs and about 15-20mm at the back. Had it done on Thursday - the car handles so well. Ive been down the big wheel/really low combination before and Ive repented and seen the light now. If youre really into the holy realms of sleuth tuning and want to beat the living daylights out of back-road challengers, there is only one way!! Keep them sensible and light.

Nick,

I just got my 17s on yesterday and they fitted on no probs(just needed to remove the black mud catchers) and they look the tits, but i have already noticed the drop in performance and handling.

As you have spent so much on the engine i wouldnt waste this by going any bigger than 17s as it would be w**k!!

If i had your car i would go for the best all rounder which i would say are 16s.

Well, Ive still got to decide but you lot have given me plenty to think about. One thing is, that I actually need to blunt the acceleration a bit with bigger wheels, cos Im wasting a lot of power in wheelspinning rather than laying down some rubber.

Kev, sorry I couldnt make it today, I was right behind schedule so maybe next time mate.

Thats ok Nick,

I have been busy having a bit of a car day fitting all the little things that i have been meaning to for weeks!

I spend 83% of my time in Walden so next time your around give me a buzz and we can meet up.
