Niggles with the RT

rev counter dont always work, in fact, very rarely works.

side lights now come on when i touch my break when i have no other lights on. confusing

do clios have bad electrics, these are the only fauts im finding, things like courtesy light not coming on etc

The courtesy light not coming on may be caused by corrosion of the central light unit from a leaking sunroof. I had that on mine so I just got a new light unit from the scrappies. You dont need to replace the whole central unit - just the part for the lights. You can check whether it is corroded by removing the part of the central unit with the lights (it just unclips) and if its corrosion causing it then it will be partly green on the back of it.

If however the light works when you press the switch but not when opening the doors I suppose its possible the door sensors might be f**ked but it could just be down to dodgy electrics in your car.

the courtesy light is fine now, still annoying me about the side lights......
