Nimbus Star Trail

  Fiesta ST-3
Right I've been wanting to perfect this shot for such a long time.

Finally tonight I think I might have it. Usually the cloud roles in half way through the night or my mate starts winging that he's cold. So without either of these factors I took 120 images (1 hour) and stacked them to create this...

Let me know what you think...

Nice very cool indeed!

So 119 shots then one with flash? How long did you expose each shot for?

120 shots / 1hr (60 mins) = 30 seconds each ;)

I reckon the first or the last one (maybe two as 30 seconds is still quite short) was lit with a torch to expose the car.

Scott, have you tried the new StarStax with the gap filler...? I'm guessing not looking at full res.

I like is Scott, can I ask?

What camera
What lens
What ISO settings
Do you use a infinity focus setting
And any other info like white balance etc

I ask because I was also out that night trying the same but without the car in shot, and the results were crap.

Great photography mate, keep it up.
