Hi,
Started this year with 4 years no claims (protected). Ive made a claim this year, so does this mean I start next year with 5 years or do I stay at 4???

Asked Elephant and they think 5 but didnt sound too convinced...

with you being protected you are allowed a certain amount of claims per year without it effecting your NCD

So yes you will start with 5 years....


You still need to tell them about the accident claim and whos fault it was.

However Elephant will still do you on renewal even tho' your NCD hasn't been affected and even if the claim was against a third party and is fully settled . Apparently your NCD isn't affected but your risk rating is, even if you're the blameless party.

yup the above is true, try doing a quote online, with and without the claim, and you will be charged apprx 100 quid even if the claim wasnt your fault. insurance is all 1 big way of taking your money and givnig you nothing for it. i really begrudge paying mine.
