No Claims Protection

I am about to have 4 yrs no claims.

Is it worth protecting them?? Bare in mind it costs around 200 quid more a year?

Do you protect?

200 pounds more is a lot! i thought most ins companys charge about 30/50.00..id do it but at 200.00 its a bit of a joke!

Depends...you've to weigh up the advantages and disadvantages. Even if you have protected no claims and you make a claim, you have still to declare that claim which will ultimately put your renewal price up.

I would, but I hardly pay any more for protected, £200 seems alot!

With 4 years ncb its 180 odd quid difference to protect or not and with 5 years ncb its only 60 quid!

If I *touch wood* make it to 4yr ncb next year i'll be protecting them, a mate whos 25 is paying £200 to protect his 4 so i'd say thats the current going rate. I'll only be 21 but I don't think age effects it?

Price rate seems to come down a lot more at 5 years.
