No Glove Box Light

I have a 1.4 Clio Dynamique Mk2 Ph2 (I think it's a ph2 anyway but could be wrong). The glove box has no light in it but it has a gap for where it should be. There is also some wires from around the back, picture below.



I have tried taking out the light from the boot and plugging that into the bigger cable shown in the picture. I've put the engine and headlights on but it's not lighting up. Is the boot light completely different? What are teh other two little cables for in the picture? Also, where should the switch be to tell the light when the glove box is open / closed?

Any help would be appreciate, thanks in advance

Anyone? A picture of the back of your glove box light / the switch would also be helpful if anyone could snap one for me.

Not really looked into it that much as mine works

But the boot light should be the same and if that isn't working it leads me to wonder why was there no holder in there in the first place?

Maybe the wiring is shot, whip the dash off and follow it back

It's probably a bit to technical for the likes of me haha. Will have a look at my mates one when I next see him.

I was now looking at this on my car. Same wires I encountered. The light seems not to be getting power. I wonder whats the the two smaller connectors are for?

anyone found a way for there to be light in the glove box.
