Noise!

Hi guys,

Im getting a strange noise appearing when i plant the foot! Its like a harsh vibration noise....almost like the engine is stuttering but its not! I was thinking maybe a mount of some sort? Am I on the right lines or has anyone else got any idea?! It only happens under full acceleration and usually higher up the rev range!

hi.
I am not sure but I think I may have the same problem.
I can only describe it as a sort of popping sound coming from the engine (I think). not overly loud.
only happens when im flooring it and only above about 4500 rpm. also it only seams to happen in 1st and 2nd gear.
doesn't seam to have an effect on performance however I cant be sure about that as it has happened ever since i owned the car and that's only been a couple months.
i was thinking along the lines of a mis-fire but cant understand why it would only happen under heavy acceleration.
im not overly concerned, the car still takes off like a rocket, but defiantly would like to find out if im causing harm to the engine.
and ideas/thoughts would be appreciated.
