Non Fault Claim consequential losses?

  Clio mk2 172
Lets say your car is parked in road and someone crashes into it. You exchange details and all is good. But because of this non fault claim your insurance increases on renewal.

Can you then claim for consequential losses from the third party to pay for your losses do to their carelessness as such??

Thats a good one, id be interested to see if a legal cover/uninsured loss recovery solicitor could recover the costs for you on.....afterall it wasnt your fault.

Incidently we do not charge customers for non fault claims so if your policy increases for an accident that you weren't to blame for you are with the wrong company.

Id be happy to run you a quote on your renewal when it comes up, we can cater for all types of modifications and can even offer track day cover.

Best Regards

No.

Its your choice who you chose to insure with at your next renewal. Many insurers do not load for non-fault incidents. Its not the fault parties fault if you chose one that does.

They are only liable for damages/losses from the event. What you chose to do in the future is up to you.

Had an accident that wasn't my fault, went with elephant and the policy went up by £250. Was annoyed but next cheapest was £3000 from £1100 so I wasn't going to argue :(
