Has anybody else ever had problems with non-Genuine starter motors?
Got one from GSF today and after spending a while fitting it, the bloody thing wouldn't work. The starter it's self was fine but the shaft that pops out of the motor wasn't long enough to catch the flywheel. Looking at both starter motors after (non-gen and gen motor) there was a slight difference in the width and length of the shaft. This is the 2nd non-gen motor that's been fitted to the car that hasn't worked.
