Hi All,

Joined the forum principally to get some help with my daughter's Clio. Drivers side electric window failed with a loud crack, and on opening up the door card bits of white plastic fell out.

Bummer!

I purchased a new white guide clip and installed on the slide mechanism ... But how on earth can you get the cables attached again? It is almost like they are toooooo short. Can you do this with the motor in situ or do you have to remove the whole shooting match?

Struggling a bit with this, any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Ripface

Hi All,

I took the motor out and noticed that indeed ... the cables were too short, because they had become tangled around the drive wheel. It was a bit of a fiddly job, but managed to sort them out and get the wheel remounted in the cage again. Needed four hands for that ( thanks to my lovely wife). Eventually managed to get the cables connected with enough tension for the mechanism to work. Now back in place with the lekky window working perfectly.

Woo hoo!

Cheers,
Ripface
