Yes, I know that Norton does eat into your resources. Hence why I ditched the AV, and switched to BitDefender 9 Prefessional Plus!

i fookin hate Norton - its a rediculous programme. My bird insisted on having it on her laptop and guess what? loading up things now takes about 45 mins longer lol

I've not let a Norton program near my PC in years. Every PC I've used with it on runs slooooooooow.

What makes you think that? I assume you meant the suite that comes with the AV?

I ran it for a few years, and other than resource hugging thought it was doing a great job..

Untill I installed Kaspersky and it found worms, trojans and shizzle taht had been on my PC for over a year!
