This Might cheer you all up.

As some of you may know, I have a modified Renault Clio, All modificatiosn declared to the insurers Norwich union.

I MATICULOUSLY went through EVERY SINGLE Modification in detail providing pictures etc etc and All was fine, I was payiong £800 last year which i paid in full.

Anyway, I'm selling the clio, I dont use it no more, I've got my runabout and I'm looking at a new car anyway so this is irrelevant.

I got my Re Newal through this morning.

Bare In Mind, I haven't made a single claim in the past year, Or Got any type of points/fines. I'm also a year older.

My Renewal is now £1365! WTF!!!!! And I look in the modifications column and where as before it hada detailed list, It Now says "Tinted Windows"

f**king Tossers! Why has it gone up?

Anyway, I hope the people behind this all get cancer

Luckily I dont need t orenew, But what the f**k is going on there!

The general feeling seems to be that Norwich union have wacked up there premiums.

They only covered 4 modifications when i was with them thats why i had to leave them.

But even when i rang them up to add my lowering springs at the time...... this is how the convo went:




Me: Yes i need to add a modification please

Advisor: No problem, let me load up the screen

Me: Ok

Advisor: What modification do you have now?

Me: Ive lowered my car 60mm

Advisor: Is that from a Rover?

Me: No, its a suspension change, lowered the car by 60mm

Advisor: So you have removed all your suspension?

Me: No, its still there. Can i speak to your supervisor?

Advisor: No sorry he is at lunch, ill just put down removed suspension

Me: But that is not the modification i have done

Advisor: Oh ok, please call back later

As Norwich Union just whacked premiums up around 40% for younger drivers if I remember correctly.
