Turbos.
Last weekend we were at Japfest to drum up a bit of publicity, do some charity passenger rides and support the NSXCB guys. The organisers were great, allowing us to have the passenger rides for no cost and we are also allowed in every track session for nout too!
It was a beautiful day at Castle Combe, just a shame the car doesn't have air con! Typically, the power steering also packed up before turning a wheel, so i was in for a sweaty day...
Considering it had been a year since i'd been to the circuit, i thought i better take the first session to familiarise myself. Lights ablaze i started playing with the other cars!
The car felt alright, but it was pretty stiff and the steering was fcuking effort. Was glad this was a fast circuit, as one with tight corners would have been pretty difficult.
I then started taking people out who'd won the raffle. I got a couple of fitties, but most were a little on the large side. Couldn't get the side or crotch straps on them lol!
Generally people were driving ok, but there were a few guys who chose some odd lines, despite the turn-in, apex and exit cones!
Of course, the NSX was the fastest car out there, but i was surprised to see how rapid the Miltek GTR was on the straight. Merked the wobbly tank round the rest of the circuit though.
Most others were pretty slow, black Evo tried hanging on.
Not for long, punk!
Was disappointed with a supercharged NSX there, didn't give it any beans!

But the main thing was everyone had a good time, and apart from the PAS, the car was fine. On to Brands Hatch at the weekend where we're doing two hour race on the GP circuit, can't wait
A vid giving a general taste of the day...
