how many LED's make up one number plate bulb, so to speak?

as i saw one with 8 LED's, wondering if that wouldnt be a tad too bright for a number plate?

dont wanna light up the rear of my car like a christmas tree if ya know what i mean

yeah i guess so, they say that it can be used as a replacement stop and indicator bulb....but im taking it one step further and questioning it for number plate use lol

leds yes, blue/red/green/coloured = no

as above, blue light ones are illegal, xenon look ones are fine.

Not so worried bout the law in all honesty, they aint really bothered bout that over here, however out of personal preference i was wondering if it wouldnt be too bright?

you get dont by a speed cam it would make your plate look invisable leds shinning off a reflective bacing its dangerous!

thats why legal limit is5-6
