Number Plate Illumination

I need to wire up some number plate bolts for my MOT to light up my plate, so bought these: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=ROAD&pcode=DEI030302

The original rear number plate light (which sits in a recess in the rear bumper) has bein smoothed out and I cant see the wiring for this.

Can i just tap into the wiring loom for my rear clusters? If so what wires do i tap into?

Number plate lights run off the side light circuit. Why not pull the wiring through from the oigional lights and use that if its not too much of a pain? In answer to your question tap off one of the bulbs that comes on with the sidelights m8.

so find the rear side lights circuit, and tap into that? any ideas what side rear light cluster i should go off? Any idea what colour these wires are?

road legal ones are like little chrome pins with a directional led. you normally put one on each end to illuminate the plate.

those look like they'll just shine light outwards, and not onto the plate itself.

yeah looks like they just shine outwards and will fail a mot anyways

wired them up, immuminate it fine, ill have to see now
