OBEX PUT failure

This is for anyone that knows anything about bluetooth as this is doing my head in now. I've got a moto A1000 and the Belkin bluetooth dongle. All works perfectly, can send files from the pc to the phone, but I can't send files from my phone to the pc.

Everytime I try to send something (using Beam option via SMAN1.4) I get the error:

OBEX PUT failure. Disconnecting...

I'm guessing it's a setting on the pc, as before it mentions that error, it says on the log that it's sending. I've gone through all the settings on the software that came with the dongle, put them all onto auto response and still getting the same error.

Been searching for hours and not found anything that'll help :( Any ideas before I cry?

can you not just browse the folders on the phone from the pc? i just browse through the folders and take what i want off. Using the normal bluetooth software. Just go to file transfers in bluetooth pick your phone and it shoudl come up with all teh folders etc.

For some stupid reason, I haven't got a file manager coming up on the screen, so can't access the phone at all that way :( Been trying to figure this thing out since 8pm, must've gone through 1000's of sites trying to see why I'm the only one having problems :(

see the bluetooth icon in the bottom corner on the taskbar?

Right click select file transfer it should be there.

I just get a popup alert saying "Service File Transfer is not found on device Nightfire". Think I'm gonna throw it out the window :D

I found the problem out. My phone doesn't have ftp, so that's what those errors mean apparantly (from carphonewarehouse person). Will have to see what downloads I can find to enable ftp then I guess.

It's the connections in the handset that I'm having problems with, I've got 2 cables and both do the same thing. I can't take it back for repair as it's just not worth it, only paid £30 for the phone. Would've been nice to be able to be away from the pc to upload stuff on it from the phone

so its a phone problem then, but you can still upload onto the phone though, you can get class 1 bluetooth dongles 100m iirc but they are effected by walls etc

Yeah I got a class1 dongle, but with no way to send files from the phone to the pc unless I'm sat at the pc and use motorola's shitty software which doesn't show all the files. I was hoping that with bt I could send files from the phone to the pc without having to be at the pc, but it appears I can't do that and it's annoying :(

lol, what phone is it? has it got expandable memory cause if it has you could stick it in a card reader

It's a motorola A1000. Think I'm just gonna give up with it lol main reason why I was hoping I could bt files from the phone to the pc is that I'm getting a pc installed in the car and don't wanna be sat in the car everytime I want to send files to it, then having to run into the house to send files to the pc in my room, etc etc lol. Ah well...
