Can anyone suggest a good engine oil for a 2002 172 ?

I've used Shell helix ultra 5w-40 in the past, TBH i can't really tell the difference!

any oil of the right spec depends where you live how you use the car how often your going to chnage it if you cna get cheap oil etc.

gm motors oil is very good semi synthetic from a vauxhal dealers you can get ot in 5 leater tubs and its a good price

GSF do Fuches super titan fully synth 5w 40 , at a good price , good gear too!
