On the elbow that comes from inlet to air box there is a pipe which I think is called the oil breather, mine is attached to the elbow but just hangs behind the engine not connected to anything anyone shed some light on this ?
@RichieJA on a Ph2 it connects in a different place, closer to the coilpack iirc.
I would say it needs to be connected or a filter added and blocked off at the other end purely because its allowing unfiltered and unmetered air into the engine, which is never a good thing.
I now run an induction kit and the ICV has a small breather filter on it.
If you have found where it should be on yours then good stuff. If it fell off you may want to consider either replacing the pipe if it has warn and become too large and loose or use a jubilee clip on in to hold it in place.
