Oil change fail!

  Low!
So I set about changing my oil on my 1.2 16v (never done it before so I'm using this as my excuse)

Drained it, changed filter, put the sump plug back in and filled with oil.

NOW when I drained the oil I dropped the sump plug in the container I was using to let it drain in. I obviously fished it out and re-fitted it.

But... When I was emptying the oil into a canister it seems there must of been a metal washer on the sump plug that fell off :(

Am I going to have to do it all again, but this time put the washer on? :dapprove:

I didn't think a metal washer would need replacing? I did think that it would have been a rubber one on there..

  BMW M135i
Its a metal/rubber washer unless someones just reused one over and over again until the rubber has split from the metal of the washer.

  Low!
Must be then because there is no rubber left on this one!!

Don't suppose anyone knows the part number for it, the parts desk at the local dealer is S**t

Just found: 8200641648 from google, is that right?

  Mondeo TDCI 130
Just go into your dealer and ask for a sump washer for your car, give them the engine size and reg, trust me, they will be hundreds in stock!!!

you can get them from any motor spares place - is it actually weeping though? If not i would leave it until next oil change to save you the hassle of having to drop it again. If there is however any sign of leaks then i would change it asap
