oil leak, please help!

Ok there is two places where I see oil. One is on the bottom of the engine near the clutch housing. Could this be the crankshaft seal thats gone also if it is how hard would it be to fix?

Secondly oil from just below the exhaust manifold. Now ive had a compression test done and its not the head gasket! its had a new oil filter because thought it could be that but no joy. :S

Its a mk1 1.2. Please please help.

well if its the crankshaftoil seal, its an engine out job, and then you have to replace the main bearings, and big end bearings.

Also, just because youve had a compression test, doesnt mean that its not the headgasket. ITs most likely the headgasket in your case.

That sucks!

I thought you could just drop the gearbox out and replace the seal? When I did my sisters 106 that was the case not having to change the bearings etc?! The head gasket should be easy enough to do!
