  Black 172 MK2
ok my rents are going to america (again) in a week so im guna get a Pc polisher. Just trying to work out what i cna get away with not buying atm as im VERY tight for cash. Atm im using AG products. This is the order im thinking:

1 - was with AG body shampoo conditioner.
2 - megs clay
3 - AG super resin polish (applyed with the PC on a green pad)
4 - AG high gloss thingy (by hand) (cant rember what its called now)
5 - P21 (by pad supplyed)

my questions are:
1 - does this sound ok?
2 - is that the right pad (green)
3 - and how long does the pad last?

Process sounds fine, The AG SRP wont correct much by PC with whatever pad you use. Either use it in Sonus DAS Green or Blue pads.

I would invest in a decent polish if you want to remove any swirls and correct paint. Look at least Meguiars #80 Speed Glaze, but more likely you will need something a bit morte abbrassive such as Poorboys SSR 2.5 or Megs #83

I have had my first set of pads for 8 months now and they look brand new still.

cheers r-jay so if i look at megs 80 and 83 and would i use these instead of the AG stuff?
oh and how many of each pad should i get ie 2 green etc etc?

I would use the 8 and/or 83 to remove the swirls, then use the Autoglym Resin and Gloss after.

You Could do 83, then 80 and the P21s, but you wont get the protection of the Autoglym.

If your paint only has minor swirls just get the 80.

As for pads, 2 light cut (Orange), 2 Polishing (Green), and 2 finishing (Blue) is ideal. (colours are on the assumption your buying Sonus DAS pads, as these colours can change depending on Pad maker)

yes i am gettign sonus and thanx very much. so im guessing u use 83/80 on an orange pad AG SPR on green so what goes on the blue pad?

If you do end up uisng 83 then 80

Chances are you will do:
83 Sonus Orange
80 Sonus Green

You could then use the Blue (Finishing Pad) for the AG SRP

If after the 80 your still not happy and want to polish soem more use the AG SRP on a Sonus Green.

to be honest no lol i only got the transformer etc today (only recenlty had some spare cash) hopefully the weather will be ok on sunday and il give it ago tbh it looks like a very good piece of kit not too bad a price if you think how long youll have it for. il let you know on sunday hopefully

wouldnt you use the autoglym gloss protection after the P21s? as the autoglym is the sealer? or do you seal that in with the wax???
