old air intake

Hi, quick question do i have to take my bumper off to take out the old air intake pipes that come from my front bumper

have got a 172 2001 mrk2 ph1

can you jack it up take the wheels of, take the arch liner off and get to it?

im not sure dont know much about the ph1 172

Undo the 2 bolts on the undertray that go in the subframe, undo the 2 bolts on the front of the bumper near the lights. Loosen the top screws on the arch liner that go into the bumper. Peel the arch liner back and there is 1 bolt either side up behind the arch liner. Pull the bumper off carefully disconnecting the bonnet alarm switch and the fog light connector.

No.

Just take off the wheel arch liner to get to it. It's one bolt, 13mm - the horns are connected to it.

I did this last week 30mins top to do it...

Jack front passenger side up, take wheels off, pull out two plugs on arch liner, then remove the 13mm bolt on the horn bracket..

DONE!
