old clio hesitates at cruising speed

hi,

long story short....

old 98 1.4 mk clio

pulls fine with good responce at low speeds.

Once at motorway speed, acceleration is very slow if at all. and no pull.

Could it be somthing like coil or leads etc etc

All help appriciated

just been thinking.....

could it be the map sensor or even the tdc sensor?

well after loads of searching i found an air leak on the map vacume pipe.... so temp tapped it up and car feels alot better...not 100% but better than it was. so im eventually gonna get a new pipe and also renew the ht leads as they look like origionals what with the king lead being quite hard and stiff.
Gonna get some bosch ones from halfords unless anyone objects and knows of better within a decent price.
