One week on.....

  Clio Phase II 16V

Car has been back on the road for a week now and all seems to be fine, as you are probably very confused I managed to break the Gearbox in my Clio and decided to save myself a little money and learn a little more about my pride and joy.

Upon taking the bonnet off the car reality kicked in and I thought what the hell am I doing, but as i was getting fustrated with no car the work had to be done, within a week i managed to get the engine out of the car and change a few bits and put it back again, getting the engine back in the car was a little difficult but we managed it in the end. I had a massive smile on my face when she started up again, the test run was completed with no front end on the car which resulted in some wierd looks.

In total the bill came to £950 and for that I:

Put in a new gearbox from Renaults (Exchange)

New Radiator

Distributor / Rotor Arm

Plug Leads

Rocker Box Gasket

Sump Gasket

Water Pump

Low tem thermostat and Fan switch /

Oil and filter

Clutch.

Just happy that my car is on the road once more

Big thank you to BB tuning for their fast delivery of my order.

  Corsa 1.3 CDTI

If anyone has a broken Valver/WIlliams gearbox let me know as I said I would do a favour for BB and get hold of one as they are going to get one of their gearbox specialist to do some work on it and maybe help people with the Clio Turbo to run more than 250bhp through the standard box.
