Open circuit on cylinder injector valve?

Had my car on the diagnostic machine today as my cars running rough and the fuel consumption has plumeted this came up:

Open circuit injector valve cylinder 4?

Is my injector broken ?

Check the cables going to the injector. I have seen one get worn through before so it's a quick check

just checked the wiring all is fine ,

Change injectors around and see if the fault changes cylinder. That should determine if it's an injector or not. If not it might be a driver error in the ecu but I bilieve they would go in twos so it's unlikely

Okay buddy il do that dumb question i know is injector 4 the one closest to the cambelt

On French cars yes. On any other car it's 1 lol

depending on which diagnostics computer you're using, some still number the cylinders in the conventional manner and not the french way.

Sounds like dead injector to me though

Is used a bosch diag machine mate if that makes any diffrence

Are there any variations with injectors ? Or are there one type for the 172/182 as u found some
On ebay for 35.00 and just want to check
