i think you can carefully cut the sealant from the glass then take it apart. you'll need some silicon or somethin to reseal it

Bin it and get another, if you manage to get it apart, fix it, put it back together again and it be waterproof again i'll eat my proverbial hat.

i know this is an old thread but i've done this with my headlights on my old car. what u need to do is put the lights one at a time in the oven for about 30 seconds the glue will melt first if u leave them to long it will melt the brackets it saves so much time and does a neater job, afterwards get a product called tiger seal its black and wont budge at all job done in about 2 minutes!!!!

+1, pics if you manage to successfully achieve all of the above :)

If anybody wants a unit to practice on, I have one, with all mount clips broken and the back shell is cracked, but has been glue gunned back together. Its sat here doing f all. Could be good for spares, ie projector lenses so ill say £20 + Postage. ;)

Grey Insert as well.

Done this with my mr2 to paint internals - put in oven at 120 degrees for 6-7mins, then use flat-head scredriver to pry lens from headlight casing. There will be clips around the unit holding it together so unclip these first plus any screws. Would advise wearing some gloves as it does get really hot, also try not to touch inside of the lens as a fingerprint will p**s you off forever :p
