Optimax??

i need some advice i have just brought a 2003 clio sport 172 & its always been run on optimax. what do people on here run there cars on?? the only problem is i dont have a local shell optimax garage so last time i just put normal petrol in it & to be fair it didnt seem to make much difference, but didnt no if that wasnt to good for my car?? or is there a optimax equivalent??

my GT-R will only run on 95+ron, not just optimax provide it.
heres all your optimax equivlents
optimax
bp ultimate
sainsbusys ultra (only in london at the moment i believe)
there is one more i stopped at a random garage once and they did 97 ron, can't remeber name tho.

its just the rate at what your car burns fuel or somthing, if you ecu is designed to run on 95 octaine fuel then its good, i dunno what benifits you would gain from a car with a ecu designed to run on 90 octaine fuel.

Reccomended is 98ron which is soley Optimax. Super and Ultimate are 97ron and regular 95ron.

None will cause damage, some see differences, some dont. Your choice.


Strange thing is MON rating is more relevant but not usually provided!

TotalFinaElf do a premium fuel now called Total Excellium in this country. Not sure what it's like but it's 97RON.

My clio runs lumpy as hell on 95, its better on BP ultimate but Optimax is like liquid gold for it!

Always run mine on Optimax.

it runs rough when cold if it doesn't get it's good stuff.

optimax made a bit of a difference in my 172 but nowt much.and it doesent make any difference in the trophy well none that i can feel anyway.
