Ordered Carbon Splitter

Just ordered a carbon splitter from k-tec. From what I hear some of the peeps on here are still waiting for orders they placed weeks ago! Looks like I'll be waiting a while. White 16" turinis and carbon bonnet next I think!!

I heard the 1st batch k-tec ordered have all been sold. So I won't be getting one until the next batch arrives! I don't mint waiting. It's a good subtle mod and makes a big difference to the front end for something small IMO.

Does look good have you thought about colour coding it though? Im doing mine got the paint ready make it look more subtle and part of the car and you dont have to tell the insurance then you can get away with it, they put 80 quid on my policy for it last year so i took it off before i renewed!

ordered mine about 3 weeks ago, just squeezed in to the orders for the 1st batch aparently, not long now hopefully, last I heard was they would be getting them to ktec last week so should be with us this week, not sure if thats actually going to happen though...

UPDATE: Just called them. They have the first batch in now (they were unpacking them as I was on the phone) and will be posting tomorrow for Monday delivery! woohoo!

EDIT: They just called me back to take the rest of the money!

Remember to take the bumper of the car to fit properly....use small allen head bolts too.....the self tappers provided are shite.

Well I certainly wasn't happy at the thought of securing something I had paid over £100 for onto my car with them...also theres the added problem of the possiblity someone could nick the splitter.

You can use them, a lot of people have on here I just didn't feel that they were enough myself.

Taking the bumper off sounds drastic but makes the job much easier and also makes sure it's on properly....better taking your time fitting it so it looks spot on than rushing it.

i fitted mine on with self tappers. used quite a few mind. had to drill the splitter first though.

Had an email of k-tec saying the splitter should be with me by Thursday! So I assume anyone who has ordered one in the last 2 or 3 weeks will have it soon!
