ORDERED PC:) What Polish do i use now??

Poorboys SSR Range

Menzerna Intensive Polish and Final Finish(s).

Megs 83 and 80 are the most common routes for defect corrections.

Most polishes, sealants and waxes can be applied using it though.

right Steve, ill give you a few months on your car to get used to it, then you can practise on an unmodified example of french engineering, don't worry i won't charge you much!

Steve

yeah i'd be happy to pay you to do it mate!
once i've got my sky diving paid off :D

where can you order one of these from??? I'm sick of doing it the old fashioned way!

http://autopia-carcare.com

Do it now while the £ is so crap :D and the USD is so high :D

Thats what made me get one today :D

Steve

Sorry to correct you but its the other way round... strong £ and weak $.

Mine came to £119 with the pads, cd, and free polish...all delivered and no import tax. Very good deal IMO.:D

I had a bash at mine yesterday (back bumper and boot only) with Megs DACP (orange pad) followed by Menzerna Final Finish (white pad), and a quick buff over with AG SRP (white pad) and sealed with EGP followed by Swissvax Onyx...

Fairly sure those two panels will give Rich a run for his money - now all I need is a week to do the rest of the car!!!

Yours should look better tbh, mines not been polished for 9 months now and never with anything anywhere as abbrassive as 83.

Yeah - it wasn't meant as it probably came across!! It's just I've been meaning to do it what with not having done any major correction work since getting the PC or the car... And being second owner to someone who did alright with not putting too many swirls on, but there's still a few... I just needed to.

Now the two panels in question are nice and slippery-shiny, I just need to get on with the rest of the car. Hard work though, although I imagine it will be very worth it!

Get some pics up!

I will polish mine before the FSC, just with Final Finish (PO106FF) the deeper dealer inflicted marks will have to stay as the car is staying in the family for the forseeable future.

Ditching the sealants for summer and going out and out on glazes this year, hoping them and Zymol Destiny will give me the edge!

It's dirty now!! I had to rally it 15 miles to see the Mrs, 30 miles back home and back there again to get a bass guitar as the regulars own snapped a string (and didn't have a spare!), and then 15 miles back home, followed by the 35 in to work this morning!

I need a daily driver, but unless work cough up the money, I've just had to buy a house so that's killed my thoughts of getting a Hyundai with a nice warranty!

I'll be having a punt with some glazes this year as well, as I had a couple of goes with them and the finish on the Black Gold with a good glaze was brilliant. I've had good experiences with the Prima Amigo and I think I'll have a go with that this year (as I'm stumped for money to waste on cars, what with being robbed of £300 the other night and the above reason...)
