OSX on desktop pc?

  Mk2 MX5 1.8iS - Side
Hi,

I keep reading about people installing OSX on their pc's, as an alternative to XP/Vista. Am I right in thinking this would make the system run faster?

How difficult is it to do, and is it even worth doing in the first place?

Anyone on here done it? If so what sort of specs would my PC need?

Will not make it run faster mate.

Depends what you are running it on. At the moment, most of the compatibility is very limited and only certain processors work with OS X and then there are other hardware incompatibilities.

Being a Apple Lover ;) i'd have to suggest you buy a mac. Something like a mac mini would be fine if you already have monitor, keyboard and mouse, and Apple are going to release a new line up of minis reasonably soon. They are usually priced between £300 and £500 too so not that bad!

I have installed OS X on a dell laptop and a netbook but its not as simple as you think.
