Oulton Park

Is anyone planning on going to the Renaultsport Trackday in May (13th I think) at Oulton Park or has anyone been before .

I would convoy down with someone thou, im in West Yorkshire.

Quite a few members have been there for a track day before not the Renault sport one thoug.
How much is it if you dont mind me asking just trying to compare offical Renault days with normal track days.
Its a good track though.

I know where it is , its easy to find but I have never been to a track day before and although I want to try the clio out I dont want to kill it on my debut, Just wondered what the drill was and if its possible to have fun without the risk of sliding off into other cars or vice vresa . If you are up for it , its near to M6 Jn 19

Dont worry the 182 is designed for some hard work Ive yet to kill my car on the track and its definatly not designed for track work.

You push the car as far as you feel happy with its not a race. You dont have to push it upto its limit. There quite a few run off where even if you come off youll not damage the car so you can push the car more on these bends if you want.

Does anything special go on i.e. cup racers etc? Still not a bad price and a superb track.

Your own car, plus a go in either a 182, V6 or 225. No Cup racer though.

The date is 13th July at Oulton, 6th May at Brands

Thanks Jeremy for confirming the details , I am still waiting for an e mail from you , I think, via renaultsport , with booking information, I am definately up for it , so ill see you at Oulton Park. PS is it a striclty Renault only day or can you arrive and drive in other makes

Rob - its strictly a Renault day, you will not be allowed to drive anything else on track.

Simonr - the warranty doesnt cover track use.
