Over speed function

Does anybody have any info on the above. Ever used CLIPsoftware to remove the fuction. My 182 buzzes at me and throws the EML light on at a certain speed. Been told I need to plug into CLIP to turn this off. Has anyone got any experience with this?

I don't think the Arabia overspeed turns the EML on. Dan, confirm?
